The Maison's history begins with Adele and Edoardo Fendi and their first handbag boutique opened in Rome in 1925, followed shortly thereafter by a fur atelier. Elegance, craftsmanship, innovation, and style have become the hallmarks of the Maison, shaped by Karl Lagerfeld's artistic direction from 1965 to 2019.

Today, the Maison is synonymous with quality, tradition, experimentation, and creativity, thanks to the vision of Silvia Venturini Fendi for the men's collections and Kim Jones for the women's, which is also reflected in the eyewear collection.
